Reviews
Best Candidates
Our team has helped improve the vision of countless patients with prescription glasses and contacts. Many people are surprised at the level of improvement they experience after receiving their new pair of glasses and/or contacts. Your ocular health is important to your overall quality of life and when it's difficult to see, it may be time to schedule an appointment with an eye care professional. We will also help you select glasses and contacts that are best for your specific lifestyle and unique personality.
What to Expect
The first step in acquiring glasses and/or contact lenses is to schedule an eye exam at Stone Oak Ophthalmology Center in San Antonio, TX. Once a comprehensive eye exam is complete and an ocular prescription has been provided, we can help you pick out a new pair of glasses and/or contacts. Our team is well-versed in all the different types of frames and contact lens brands to help you discover the best solution for optimal vision without compromising your unique taste and style. If this is your first time wearing contacts, we will educate you on how to put them on and the best methods for ocular hygiene and cleanliness.
Follow-Up
After you select your frames, we will place the order and have them shipped to our office. When they arrive, we will call you to schedule an appointment to have you come in and try them on to ensure a customized fit. Typically, minor adjustments will be needed to ensure your glasses fit comfortably. If you order contacts, we will often teach you how to put them in that same day and provide a few samples so you can try them out first before ordering a large supply. Some patients may go through several types of contacts before determining the best fit for them and once that is decided, they will place an order for contacts. In a few cases, patients may opt for glasses instead of contacts, which is why we encourage patients to try contacts out first before making a final decision.
